PALA 2009

PALA 2009 was another fantastic conference, with a very wide range of topics discussed, some excellent research presented and the usual general feeling of supportiveness and positivity.

There were a number of pragmatically relevant presentations, including plenaries by Keith Oatley on emotion and simulation in responding to fictional texts, Gerard Steen on metaphor in language, thought and communication.

As usual, proceedings will be published online, probably early next year. We'll point you too them here when they arrive,
